The WBW theme for 2011 is focused on engaging and mobilizing youth intergenerational work with the slogan of: “Talk to Me! Breastfeeding – A 3-D Experience.” USBC is collecting information about how organizations are engaging with youth (defined as those between the ages of 15-24). The survey also will collect information on how you are planning to celebrate WBW, so we encourage you to review the Action Folder for suggestions and ideas.

Dear WBW celebrants,
World Breastfeeding Week 2011 (1-7 August 2011) is fast approaching and WABA would like to share some exciting news with you.
1) WBW 2011 Action Folder (English 6 pages) is now available for download at http://worldbreastfeedingweek.org/pdf/wbw2011-af.pdf
2) For this year, we have also included an insert page which highlights some of the key issues which may appeal to youth as well as a planning tool to the Action Folder.
This insert can be downloaded at http://worldbreastfeedingweek.org/pdf/wbw2011-af-i.pdf
3) Reproduction Files are now available. For those who are interested to adapt or translate and produce the Action Folder into your local languages, please write to
wbw@waba.org.my for the Reproduction Files.
4) If you are planning to organize a WBW event, and it does not matter how big or small, please do tell us about it and we will share the news about your event on our
WBW website.
- All you need to do is to complete the pledge form (available online http://worldbreastfeedingweek.org/pledgeform.shtml and also for download on the WBW website) and send the completed form and a picture of yourself to WABA wbw@waba.org.my and a will create a Speech bubble with your picture (including information about your event) and put it on our World Wall Mosaic on the WBW website for all to see.

If you have translated the WBW 2011 materials into other languages, please do share them with us. We will make them available for sharing with the rest of the world.
